Online Big Stakes Poker- Gus Hansen

April 6th, 2021 at 5:25

Gus Hansen had a marvelous year on the World Poker Tour where he was the only one to achieve final table in three of the tournaments. Gus Hansen has been seen on High Stakes Poker on GSN where he paid $400, 000 to play. You may remember one of the largest pots in big stakes poker recorded history competing against Daniel Negreanu. Hansen raked in a huge pot with quads against Negreanu’s full house. Gus has made many tv poker appearances and is thought to be one of the strongest gamblers in the world. While wagering on internet poker, another side of Hansen has appeared. Gus often competes in the 200/400 No Limit max buy in of $40, 000. Hansen frequently buys-in for the min of Sixteen Thousand dollars and gambles very weak. He sits there waiting for a good hand and then goes all in. I accept that Gus is a great poker player but not even close to the everyday players at 200/400no limit. Unless he is bankrupt, he has little or no reason to sit at the table with the min buy in.

Buying in for the minimum takes a majority of the skill out of big stack poker. Hansen is presumed to be one of the best poker players anywhere in the world but he can’t buy in for the total amt.. I think television can alter our perception of the real world sometimes. The greatest poker players anywhere in the world might just be players you have will not have heard of. Gus can be seen wagering on net poker on Full Tilt. He commonly plays in high stakes Omaha and Holdem. Gus has proven himself as a tournament player. Can he use his abilities in money rounds?
