Internet poker has become world famous as of late, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game shows. Its popularity, though, stretches back in fact a bit farther than its TV ratings. Over the years numerous variants on the first poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with chemin de fer than old guard poker, in that the gamblers wager against the casino instead of the other players. The succeeding hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is no conniving or different types of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up before the dealer declares "No further bets." At that instance, both you and the dealer and of course every one of the different gamblers are given 5 cards. Once you have seen your hand and the dealer’s 1st card, you have to either make a call bet or surrender. The call bet’s amount is equal to your original bet, meaning that the stakes will have doubled. Bowing out means that your bet goes instantly to the dealer. After the bet is the conclusion. If the dealer does not have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, with an amount in accordance with the ante. If the house does have ace/king or better, you win if your hand beats the dealer’s hand. The casino pays out cash even with your original bet and fixed expectations on your call wager. These odds are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for two pairs
- three to one for three of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- 20-1 for a four of a kind
- 50-1 for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
