Amateurs Strategy for Pai Gow Poker

Pai Gow Poker is a cutting-edge game with old ancestry. Built on the ancient Chinese domino game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the eastern with the western in a fantastic game for starting players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player versus the dealer, not like most other poker games that players bet against other players. By betting against the dealer, beginning players don’t have to fret about any other, more advanced players taking their money.

Another Pai Gow advantage is the relatively leisurely game pace, rookies should be able to take their time and scheme while not needing to make hasty selections.

It’s also simpler to play for an extended time with basically a tiny amount of cash since, to not win, each of your hands has to be lower than each of the dealer’s hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the regular 52-card common deck and one joker. The player is given seven cards faces showing and the dealer gets 7 cards face down.

A five card hand and one two card hand must be put together from the 7 cards dealt, the five card hand must be stronger than the 2 card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand values to be higher than the dealer’s.
